HOW TO PREPARE &
WHAT TO BRING
Bra & Underwear
A strapless bra, close to your skin color, is needed. I have sticky cups available if you don't have one. For see-through gowns, choose underwear close to your skin color. For dark background shots, bring black bra and underwear. The underwear should be small, with no wide sides.
Clothing for Kids
I have clothing options for boys and girls of all ages. Younger boys (5 and under) can go shirtless for studio shots. If you prefer bringing your own clothes for boys, follow the suggestions for dads-to-be.
Clothing for Dads-to-Be
He will need a light top and jeans or light pants, no patterns for any clothing in neutral colors. You can bring options if unsure.
If you'd like to include photos with your husband shirtless in the studio, please discuss it with him beforehand.
Makeup
Wearing makeup is preferable. Focus on lashes (false lashes, extensions, or mascara) and well-defined eyebrows. Everything else can be improved in Photoshop. If you’d like me to book a hair and makeup artist for $175, please notify me at least one week in advance.
Hair
It's best to leave your hair down (no buns or ponytails). Wavy or curly is preferred for longer hair. I may rearrange your hair during the session for different looks.
Nails
Ensure your mani-pedi is done with a natural, light color (white, nude, cream, light pink). If nail polish isn't your style, just have clean and neat nails.

Location
My outdoor locations are all near my studio in Hudson. The right location will depend on the time of year or month.
Timing
The best lighting is just before sunset so even if a small part of your session is taking place outdoor we need to schedule your session in the evening.
Weather
If it calls for rain, you’ll have the option to reschedule or let go of the outdoor plans. We’ll confirm the need to reschedule the morning of the session based on the forecast.
Clothing
Not all my dresses can be used outdoors. Delicate dresses can be ruined easily.
We can use dresses from my outdoor collection or bring your own casual clothing like flowy dresses or tight tops. Avoid dark, saturated colors, large patterns and logos.
